This is a selection of 20 inspirational quotations used in my classroom to motivate and encourage my pupils.

Over the years I have taught many different groups, but one thing which I have noticed is that a ‘pithy’ saying or quotation can really help move their thinking on in some quite surprising ways.

These carefully selected quotes are the ones I used successfully for years with various children in Key Stages 2 and 3; I have also included details about their authors and some ideas to use them in the classroom. Laminate them and they are a fabulous resource that can be used year after year.
